Financial Challenges

A state subsidy of R 1500-00 per month per child is received. Oosterland rely on fundraising, donations from businesses, churches and community members to enable them to provide the basic needs of the 120 children. Oosterland must fundraise ±35% of the annual budget

The following can be seen as fundraising highlights:

Despatch Festival (August)

Catering for functions, weddings etc

Rent of hall with kitchen and braai facilities for functions

Houses/Rooms for overnight accommodation for families or groups

Alliance Half Marathon and Fun Run

Tax Rebate

Did you know that you can claim a tax rebate on any money donated to our centre?

Oosterland is exempted from income tax in accordance to article 18(1)(a) of the Income Tax Act. From 1/3/2007 you can receive up to 10% rebate on your taxable Income.

Please contact us if you are donating and are in need of a tax certificate.

Sponsor a Child Project

The "Sponsor a Child Project" gives you the opportunity to change the future of 1 child. Our 120 children have special needs and deserve your support. Your monthly sponsorship will address needs e.g. toiletries, school accessories, pocket money etc. of 1 specific child.
